Crossing Designed at Residents Request

1.jpgCllr Frank O’Rourke with Sean Carty Chairperson of the Wolstan Abbey Residents Association standing at the location on the Hazelhatch Road in Celbridge where Residents and members of the public are looking to have safety improved for pedestrians, cyclists and all road users.

“I was contacted by concerned Residents, members of the public and parents with a view to having a Pedestrian Crossing installed at this location to improve safety for all. This is a very busy road which leads to the M7\M8, train station, school and many other services. As requested a crossing at this location will join up the infrastructure to allow all vulnerable road users to cross the road safely and access all services. I have got K.C.C to allocate resources for a design which is now complete and this in turn is submitted to the N.T.A for approval and funding.

I will keep all informed as this project progresses. Thanks to all those who raised this issue with me”.

It was a privilege and an honour. I really enjoyed the whole experience working with the Celbridge GAA “X Factor” organising committee, the other judges, Siobhan the MC and the Contestants. The talent on the night was “Schmazing!!” and we are very luck in Celbridge as the acts are good enough to perform on any stage locally, nationally or internationally. I wish all the acts the best of luck in final and at this stage all the participants are winners, well done to all involved as it is a great show!!!!!!!

” I am delighted that following my ongoing representation to Kildare County Council that I was able to assist Derrybeg Farm in obtaining one acre of land opposite the Salesian college in Celbridge. This will now enable them to get this project started. This is another first for Celbridge, it is a great project and Celbridge people can avail of locally produced natural produce. This is at a time when I have worked with members from this group in putting together the casual trading bye-laws for Celbridge which are out on display. Celbridge will have a designated area and day for casual trading for the first time. I wish   Derrybeg farm all the best for the future and thank them for contacting me to assist them”.
