Irish Water announced today that it has collected just 46% of the money due to it from water customers. Not an extra cent is being spent on water infrastructure above the €550m per annum Fianna Fáil spent in Government and it looks like less will now be available for investment in water infrastructure due to the costs of setting it up and poor collection rates.

Surely its time to wind-up the new quango before it loses even more money for the hard pressed Irish Tax-Payer.

On Friday the 26th June Fianna Fail invited me to contest the next General Election on their behalf in Kildare North. It is a great honour for me to get this invitation from the party. I look forward to the campaign ahead and I hope with the support of the people in Kildare North that I can represent them in the next Dail.

I will continue to work tirelessly on behalf of all and represent them to the best of my ability. There are a lot of challenges ahead and we must work to ensure that we have a fair and equal society as the economy recovers.
